Procedure of ticket refund does not depend on the type of e-ticket (ticket with or without online registration).
- In section “My Account”, choose the order you want to cancel and click on “Request for cancellation”. Refundable amount, including fines and fees, will appear in the popup window. You can cancel the whole order or mark the passengers whose tickets have to be cancelled.
- Confirm your acceptance of the refundable amount*. Your request will be forwarded to Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. Upon receipt of your confirmation, ticket will be cancelled and its status in section “My account” will be changed to “In process of refund”.
Please note!
- If the order contains tickets with child fare, at first, you need to make request for their refund. Only then, refund of tickets with adult fare will become available.
- If you apply for a ticket refund through the website, an agency service fee of KZT 200 will be charged per each ticket.
- Return of tickets through the site is possible not later than 1 hour before the departure of the train from the starting station of its route. The funds will be credited to the card with which the payment was made during 5 working days.
- Please contact our Customer Care Service to get a payment receipt of service fee.
- Electronic Miscellaneous Document (a document testifying to the ticket refund) will be available for uploading in the “My account” section upon the cancellation of a ticket.
- During the state of emergency due to the coronavirus pandemic, train tickets refund is made in full without retention and fines.
- To return a ticket through the website, you do not need to write an application, it is only necessary when refunding through the railway ticket office.
Please note! Due to the KTZ restrictions, a full ticket refund for cancelled trains can be made only in the Passenger Transportation JSC ticket offices. When a refund is made online, the refund amount will be calculated with the fee.
