Calculate train ticket refund
The amount refundable for an electronic travel document (ticket) shall be calculated by the carrier based on the type of a train and the period when the passenger submitted their request.
All trains, except cars with seating places.If before train's departure:Trains only with seating places.- More than 24 hours - full fare refund of the ticket and platzkart price is refunded;
- From 6 to 24 hours - the ticket price and 50% of the platzkart price are refunded;
- Less than 6 hours (but
not later than 1 hour after train's departure) - the ticket price is refunded excluding the plazkart ticket price (no more then 30% of fare price);
- More than 1 hour after train's departure travel document (ticket) refund is not available.
If before train's departure:- More than 24 hours - full ticket price refund.
- Less than 24 hours (but
not later than 1 hour after train's departure) - 70% of fare price is refunded;
- More than 1 hour after train's departure travel document (ticket) refund is not available.
Please note!1) Due to the KTZ restrictions, a full ticket refund for cancelled trains can be made only in the Passenger Transportation JSC ticket offices. When a refund is made online, the refund amount will be calculated with the fee (KZT 200 per each ticket).2) the amount refundable, a carrier fee will be withheld. The amount of the service fee is calculated as follows:- - If the refundable sum is higher than 3500 tenge – the carrier fee amounts to 1000 tenge;
- If the refundable sum is 3500 tenge or lower – the carrier fee shall not be withheld.3) Please contact our Customer Care Service to get a payment receipt of service fee.The service charge during the ticket purchase, the cost of the agency's services and payment system surcharges are non-refundable.If you haven't found an answer to your question, please contact our Customer Care Service
